Power Equipment Servicing
For
over 20 years Coates Engineering has been servicing all
types
of power equipment including:
Pedestrial Lawnmowers (Please click for service schedule)
Non power drive
- Thorough clean down (Apply oil to steel decks)
- Sharpen & balance rotary blade
- Check height adjustment mechanism (Single, double or all four)
- Change engine oil
- Change or clean air filter
- Change or gap spark plug
- Remove carburetor bowl & clean
- Check cables & adjust as necessary
- Lubricate as necessary
- Run, test & adjust (check choke, full revs, & tick over)
- Check safety devices if fitted
- Clean/ Present machine C/W sticker
With power drive
- All items above plus:-
- Drive belt (check for excessive wear)
- Drive chain (check & lubricate)
- Shaft drive (check & lubricate)
- Drive tensioning mechanism (lubricate as necessary)
- Remove driven wheels, clean out & lubricate drive sprocket & pawls.
- If rear roller driven- check bearings.
Power drive C/W Roto-stop (blade clutch)
- All items above plus:-
- Check clutch mechanism for excessive wear
- Adjust cable to clutch as required
- Operate clutch with engine running
Report any defects needing attention
Lawn Tractors (Please click for service schedule)
Machine
- General thorough clean down
- Remove cutter deck
- Check condition of all drive belts (Replace if necessary)
- Check condition of pulley wheels & bearings
- Re-tension belts if required
- Sharpen & balance rotary blade(s)
- Replace and level cutter deck
- Tension and lubricate drive chain (if fitted)
- General lubrication of all grease nipples & linkages with a few drops of oil
- Grease teeth on steering gear & front swivel axels
- Check & adjust tyre pressure (0.9 bar)
Engine
- Change engine oil
- Change or clean air filter
- Change or gap spark plug
- Change/ check fuel filter (if fitted)
- Chance oil filter (if fitted)
- Check choke, full throttle, & idle for correct operation
Complete ride-on
- Operate & check deck height lever
- Operate & check parking brake
- Operate & run gear selector
- Check all safety devices/ circuits
- Check & top-up battery cells with distilled water
- Clean grass collector
- Thoroughly operate complete machine and check all functions- adjust as necessary
- Present machine in clean condition C/W sticker
Report any defects needing attention
